With reference to previous correspondence

relating to the Canton strike and boycott, I am directed

by Hr.Secretary Amery to trananit to you, for the

information of Secretary Sir Austen Chamberlain, a copy ern No-144... of a Colonial office print containing a selection of

despatches from the Governor of Hong Kong reporting on

the situation during the period 30th October 1925 to

29th April 1926.

2. I am to invite attention particularly to the

despatch from Sir R.E.Stubbe dated the 30th October,1925

submitting his final report on relinquishing the

Governorship of liọng Kong, and to the memorandus by

Dr.R..Kotevall, a Chinese members of the Legislative

Council, which he enclosed. A request for the Foreign

office to be furnished with a copy of Dr.Eotewall'o

report was made in your letter F.4349/307/10 of the
